The other day I was monitoring temps and core activity using Core Temp app on my Lenovo IdeaPad 5 laptop with a 12th gen. Intel 1235U CPU. I noticed as Windows 11 23H2 was doing updates that only one core was being used in a configurations of 2 P cores and 8 E cores.I knew that active core doing much of the work was a P core as the frequency it operated on exceeded the E core frequencies. What was interesting is that monitoring these cores activity with applications like Chrome and doing multiple tasks typically showed E cores doing mostly no work or only 1% of the work.
