Windows 10 Paint 3D crashed after saving, is there any way to recover the file?

As the title says I was halfway through creating a request on Paint 3D for someone, I went to save it and it immediately crashed. There was a recovery file when I reopened it but it said an error had occurred or something when I opened it.
