Windows 10 PC display won't turn back on after screen inactivity timeout. Event ID 6008: "The previous system shutdown at [time] on ‎[date] was unexpected"

My PC's display will not turn back on after I leave my computer for a while (30+ min?) and the display closes due to inactivity timeout. When I return to my PC, I click my mouse/keyboard to wake the display, and the display lights up for a second (backpanel lit, but display is still black), shows no signal, and the display turns off again. The PC is still running (RGB on, fans turning, fans actually turn faster for a few seconds when I press mouse/keyboard).Unplugging/replugging/plugging into the motherboard the Display Port cables have no effect.
