Everytime I'm playing a game my pc will simply reboot after a short amount of time. I have a brand new pc that contains the following specs: MSI VENTUS GTX 1660ti XS OC GPU, Intel i5 10400f CPU, 2x8 GB RAM HYPERX FURY 2666mhz CL16, 2tb HDD Seagate Barracuda, and a 250gb SSD Kingston A2000.
Even on the lowest settings, I can hear the coil whine sound coming from the gpu and it will keep rebooting after a short amount of time or it will even give me a bsod in some cases( bsod error code: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION ). The thing is, whenever I enable the vsync feature the sound is gone but after a while it will return but it will still crash after some time. What can I do?
The guy who assembled the whole pc keeps telling me that I should return my 650w PSU and get a 850w one but in my opinion 650 is more than needed for this rig. I've reinstalled windows twice now, drivers up to date, windows up to date, the temps are <50 degrees Celsius in games (CPU) and max 60-65 or 70 degrees Celsius (GPU). After running a benchmark test using the heaven benchmark test tool after around 3 minutes it rebooted, temps were ok.
I guess all I can do for now is just to rma the gpu and get the same gpu, but a new one instead, since I noticed some artifacts on my screen and green dots while the pc was rebooting. (Check the images)
So, that's the only available option?
Thanks in advance.
