I just bought a new pc and installed minecraft on it. I wanted to transfer my worlds from my old pc, so I copied my AppData\Roaming folder and pasted it into the correct path and location on the new device. The worlds did not populate in the game. After some sleuthing, it turns out that the minecraft on my new computer is saving them in the AppData\Local\ . . . . \com.mojang folder, and the names of the folders for the saves seem to be some kind of generated alphanumeric string with a "=" at the end of each.
