Windows 10 PC shuts off when being on it for awhile

Hi! I have a ASUS laptop that has a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970m. Recently my pc starts shutting off being active on it (no longer than about 10 minutes). I think its my power supply (280w) but I cant figure it out because a few months after I had this I was able to play on it fine, no issues. I have done so much troubleshooting and I really don't wanna purchase anything but if I have to I will.
