Greetings:
What are your thoughts:
During a search of potential conflicts between software in windows 7 and windows 10 I saw in my device manager two items with question marks. Actually, I'm not sure it was a question mark but it was a yellow warning.
This was on an icon I could not even begin to say what it is. It is not an easily recognizable one. Beneath it in the tree there were two others -- separate -- that said bluetooth peripheral device and the yellow mark. This is way below my bluetooth, the regular bluetooth setting that comes with my notebook, and rarely used.
In my bar that goes across the bottom of my HP probook, in the bluetooth icon, I opened it and the only thing is there is an icon for my cellphone. A long time ago, a few times I used bluetooth to transfer music files, but otherwise don't need to have the phone in there.
Anyway, back to the device manager. I tried to get an updated driver, which is one of the options. It said there was no updated driver to be found.
The other option is to get rid of it. which I am GLAD to do at this point.
might this be conflicting software and does anyone have any idea what that icon in the device manager is?
I thought I better get a screen shot. I hope I can upload it.
What are your thoughts?
I am going into my third try on upgrading to windows 10.
I have windows 7 pro 64 bit, trying to upgrade to windows 10 pro.
Last question: would it be better to upgrade to windows 10 home?
SORRY i had to re-shoot it because I could NOT FIND IT so i just put it on my desk top.
ALSO I DID NOT PUT IT IN THAT ODD SPOT, IT JUST WENT THERE. I COULD SCREAM SOMETIMES WITH THIS.
ADD: well I deleted the phone from the bluetooth device, and the yellow marks are gone.
I am again going to try to upgrade ........
wish me luck
Gina
