Windows 11 Permission denied to access folders and no security tab in properties Windows 11

HiI've been going round and round in circles with this laptop where I've got Windows 11 installed for what seems like a lifetime. Whenever I want to access data held on SD cards my access is denied. Everything seems to be pointing towards changing the status on the security tab in properties, only I don't appear to have one. I've followed so many instructions on how to locate the security tab etc. and nothing seems to be working - help, please!Many thanks in advance :)
