Windows 11 Personal and Work/School email accounts

I would like to understand why Microsoft distinguishes between personal and work/school email accounts. I find this distinction most annoying. Every email account I have had over the past many years has always been used for both personal and business purposes. (I started with CompuServe!)I also find that Outlook 365 doesn't recognise an "onmicrosoft.com" account as a Microsoft account. Go figure!Occasionally I have setup a Microsoft email account for a corporation usind the date of incorporation as the Date of Birth.
