Windows 11 Phone starts updating its firmware when just charging from laptop

Hello, I have additional questions to existing problem where my just charging phone (LG Xpower 2) connected to laptop (ASUS Vivobook S14 S433 (win11)) starts to update its firmware. My phone is unsuported / outdated, so I wondered why it is updating so I unplugged it despite the message displayed on the phone stating not to do it. Then it was stuck on updating screen. After the phone's battery was drained it was able to turn on and work as nothing happened. Now can I trust my phone? Can I trust my laptop? How is it even possible?
