Really, do not bother using/going through the Start menu for anything. Basically, quit using it sometime in the early days of Windows 7. But, (I) do use an Applications (FE) window

is a picture of Start menu.BTW, just hit the Win key & begin typing when wanting to search. Saves having Search anything on the taskbar. Always 3 cheers for less stuff there.Cheers,Drew
