I’m experiencing long delays as well as complete non-response with this keyboard. This is happening everywhere online and offline. Delays can range anywhere from a split second to several, or the keyboard won’t respond at all.
I recently purchased a new laptop, but didn’t have these issues with my old one, so I figured I missed a driver, software update, or something else setting up my new computer. I’ve read countless help pages and tried endless troubleshooting and still can’t resolve the issue. This is a huge problem because it’s interfering with work. Can you please help me?
What I’m Running:
Windows 10 Home, 64 bit
HP Envy 360 Laptop. Keyboard dongle is inserted directly into 1 of its 2 USB ports
Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard
Wireless Logitech mouse. Dongle inserted into 2nd USB port.
USB Type-C hub inserted into USB Type-C port on computer. This runs an external monitor, hard drive and CD drive
My Troubleshooting:
Moved keyboard dongle to every USB port on comp and Type-C hub. No change
Adjusted FilterKey response rate in Accessibility Options from Control Panel. No change.
Uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard center. No change.
Checked and updated comp software in Update & Security numerous times. I am up to date! No change.
Ran Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter per Microsoft’s instructions to see if driver needed to be updated.
Result: Comp found and installed Wireless Keyboard Filter Device. Microsoft Sculpt Keyboard Center disappeared from Devices & Drivers under Keyboards. No change. Keyboard still lags or doesn’t respond at all.
Needless to say, I’m at my wits end. I’d greatly appreciate current detailed step-by-step instructions for Windows 10 Home to finally resolve this. Because a number of help pages I've read date back to 2015, it's possible I may not have done something correctly since instructions, menus, etc. don’t match my operating system.
Thank you.
