Windows 10 Portable hard drive visible but not accessible

Hey tech wizards!


A Seagate freeagent go successfully accessed five days ago now shows up in file explorer as the Local Disk (D:) and Windows 10 dings when attached via USB. Selecting the drive produces the circle of death and progress bar in file explorer's drive path. In Device Manager the drive is correctly identified as a Seagate freeagent go disk drive and portable device D:\. DM right clicking drive, shows device is working properly but has no information under the volume tab. Under events, the last time the disconnecting the drive 5 days ago is the following:

  • "Device not migrated" with this description "Device USBSTOR\Disk&Ven_Seagate&Prod_FreeAgent_Go&Rev_102D\2GE19S8Z&0 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.Last Device Instance Id: USBSTOR\Disk&Ven_Generic&Prod_Compact_Flash&Rev_0.00\00000000000006&0

Under "device not migrated" is the following "Device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\{544bace7-1400-11eb-95fb-f06e0bd8f44b}#0000000000007E00 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.
