HI there,
I have an Acer Aspire E 14 laptop which I experienced an issue last night where I was shown low battery and immediately the PC shut off. I plugged it in and the PC was able to function afterwards. After I finished my work that night I closed the screen of the laptop in which I always do and progressed with my night. This morning I tried opening the PC and am receiving a load screen. The Standard "Acer Explore beyond limits" screen. However I would usually get a circle indicating loading under this and this time I was not. I keep waiting for long periods of time and nothing happens. I cannot log into the PC. I cannot get into the BIOS I cannot boot in safe mode, literally stands on this screen with nothing changing.
Now I claim this to be a Driver Power State Failure cause someone had a similar issue however I'm not sure if I should just wait and see if the PC will start up or just leave it as be. Or leave it in this screen until the battery runs out. I can still shut the PC down if I hold the power button, and I have opened the keyboard up to get access to the battery and have unplugged and re-plugged it back in, but the issue still persists. The other problem is that i've tried a reset, but I cannot fully reset this PC as it is intended for work, and have valuable files in which I cannot lose. Regardless I held the Reset button for 30 seconds and no change.
Can anyone give me any insight into this and what I could potentially do? During the loading screen, if I press ctrl + Alt + Delete the screen goes black and comes back again. Not sure if that means anything. But again, there is no loading circle as there would usually be and the PC does not continue from the Acer welcome image.
PC: Acer Aspire E 14
Intel-Core i5-5200U
HD Graphics 5500
8GB DDR3
1000GB HDD
Any assistance would be appreciated, Thank you.
