Windows 10 Print job disappears from queue without printing after recent W10 updates

I am unable to print from an HP desktop to a wifi connected Office Jet Pro 8740 since installing the March updates. I can see the document (word, excel, pdf, image) or self test file in the queue briefly then the queue says printing and disappears without printing. I am able to print the Tools - Report from the Smart APP on the desktop, but I don't believe it uses the queue. I am able to print all documents fine using a HP laptop running W10 (the March updates have not been done yet on it), and also from 2 Ipads and 2 Iphones. The printer and wifi router are working ok.


I have deleted and re-installed the drivers and HP8740 software a few times. I installed KB5001649. I verified the permissions on the pertinent temp files.
