Windows 10 problems running vb6 application using access mdb on windows 10 and windows server, getting random disk errors or database errors

we have a vb 6 application developed on windows/xp, and has run perfectly ok on windows 7. windows 10 and windows server 2019 have been recently installed, and now getting random errors and program crashes, saying disk error, database error etc


error codes 3040, 3078 etc.


these errors are entirely random


If the application is run solely on a windows 10 PC, it is fine, but the errors occur when set up on windows server.

A microsoft Access mdb databse is used
