I've bought a new laptop recently. It works almost fine, but it has a weird issue. My laptop gives blue screens at random moments. It says "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR". The problem is still not fixed after searching for solutions for a week. I've done some research and this is everything I know about the error and my laptop:

- BSOD's occur at random moments. Could be three times a day, or just no BSOD's for 3 days.

- WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR

- Event Viewer logs a warning of WHEA-Logger each minute (translated from dutch):

An corrected hardware error has occured.

Reported by component: Processorcore

Error source: Corrected computer monitoring

Error type: Cache hierarchy error

Processor-APIC-id: 6 (always 6)

And then the details:

- Event Viewer doesn't log any WHEA-Logger warnings in safe mode, and I haven't got any BSOD's in safe mode (so far)

- BIOS is up-to-date from the official HP website.

- Windows 10 is up-to-date

- I've updated all visible and hidden drivers in Device Manager

- BlueScreenView says the problem of my BSOD's are in hal.dll, ntoskrnl.exe and PSHED.dll:

hal.dll+42667ntoskrnl.exe+4370e0

PSHED.dll+146b

BlueScreenView will always give the same results for every crash.

- I'm not overcloaking, can't find the option in my BIOS either.

- Using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows and Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool 64bit i've scanned my computer for hardware problems, but no problems seem to occur.

- I've scanned my computer with Windows Memory Diagnostic and Chkdsk.exe, but they also detect no issues with my hardware.

- All software that I've installed on my pc should be compatible with windows, I've installed the same programs on my old laptop and doesn't have any issues.

- The problem occured since I've installed windows.

- WhoCrashed doesn't detect any offending third party drivers.

- I've executed a script which could fix the bug (as administrator), but it didn't:

:: It is recommended to test the script on a local machine for its purpose and effects.

:: damage/loss to the data/setup based on the behavior of the script.

- My apps (If you guys believe they are incompatible):

- I've downloaded the newest drivers from HP Support Assistant.

- No viruses are found on my pc (using Avast Free Antivirus)

- Sometimes before 'BugCheck' in the Event Viewer there is a information message of hpdskflt: an unsupported disk adapter was found.

- My PC was bought from a verified company called Electrocorner(.nl)

- My CPU is mostly at 2%, my memory at 44%. I've got 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD.

- There are no external drives that could cause this problem.

I don't know how to fix this problem. If you guys need it, i can send the dump files, more system info or a picture of the BIOS settings.

Any help would be appreciated. Should i return my laptop, reset windows or do something else? Right now i don't know what to do.

Thanks for your attention and time.

Yours faithfully,

Sven Jansen
