I just wanted to comment on the above thread that is locked because all of the responses to the question are completely time consuming and 100% irrelevant. 99 times out of 100, when you receive an error stating that Windows could not update the boot configuration (on a Surface Pro, as the thread initially began), you do not need to go through all the steps detailed on the previous thread post. You simply need to go into the UEFI settings of the tablet and turn off the "Lock Boot Configuration" slidebar. That's it. Nothing more. Do not try formatting, repartitioning, or any other steps u
