Hello!

My realtek audio device in device manager says it needs to further install something but I have no idea where it is. My pc has been acting up ever since I replaced my motherboard and I've been trying relentlessly to fix it. My main goal is to stream video games but it has trouble running OBS and games at the same time so I have no idea what the issue is because the motherboard is the only new item I replaced. Everything worked fine when I was using an MSI B450 Tomahawk Motherboard then when I changed to the ASRock B550 Steel Legend everything started going downhill from there. Idk if it's the audio driver itself being the problem or what because latencymon says a bunch of stuff (shown below) but I just have no clue anymore. I've done quite a few things to try and fix my pc but nothing seems to work. I just want to at least record games in OBS without my PC being real choppy or laggy when I record.

Components:

Mobo: ASRock B550 Steel Legend

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600

RAM: GSkill TridentZ Neo DDR4 3600 32GB

GPU: MSI Geforce RTX 2060

SSD: Samsung EVO 860 1TB

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB

Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_1220&SUBSYS_18492225&REV_1001\5&a6931f1&0&0001 requires further installation.

CONCLUSION

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Your system appears to be having trouble handling real-time audio and other tasks. You are likely to experience buffer underruns appearing as drop outs, clicks or pops. One or more DPC routines that belong to a driver running in your system appear to be executing for too long. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates.

LatencyMon has been analyzing your system for 0:02:26 (h:mm:ss) on all processors.

MEASURED INTERRUPT TO USER PROCESS LATENCIES

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The interrupt to process latency reflects the measured interval that a usermode process needed to respond to a hardware request from the moment the interrupt service routine started execution. This includes the scheduling and execution of a DPC routine, the signaling of an event and the waking up of a usermode thread from an idle wait state in response to that event.

Highest measured interrupt to process latency (µs): 312.90

Average measured interrupt to process latency (µs): 5.999007

Highest measured interrupt to DPC latency (µs): 308.20

Average measured interrupt to DPC latency (µs): 2.572193

REPORTED DPCs

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

DPC routines are part of the interrupt servicing dispatch mechanism and disable the possibility for a process to utilize the CPU while it is interrupted until the DPC has finished execution.

Driver with highest DPC routine execution time: nvlddmkm.sys - NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 461.72 , NVIDIA Corporation

REPORTED HARD PAGEFAULTS

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hard pagefaults are events that get triggered by making use of virtual memory that is not resident in RAM but backed by a memory mapped file on disk. The process of resolving the hard pagefault requires reading in the memory from disk while the process is interrupted and blocked from execution.

NOTE: some processes were hit by hard pagefaults. If these were programs producing audio, they are likely to interrupt the audio stream resulting in dropouts, clicks and pops. Check the Processes tab to see which programs were hit.

Process with highest pagefault count: dllhost.exe

Total number of hard pagefaults 357

Hard pagefault count of hardest hit process: 204

Number of processes hit: 15
