Windows 11 Repeated accents on installed Spanish keyboard

I use the spanish keyboard (Spain) layout on a daily basis. When using it, I should be able to press an accent key (eg [ ´ ] or [ ¨ ] or [ ` ] ), then press the letter (eg [a] or [e] or , and an accented character should appear on the screen (eg á or ë or ù).When using the English keyboard, this words fine. However, I would have to switch keyboards back and forth, not ideal. In word, the accent appears twice, followed by an unaccented character.I have 2 keyboard layouts installed (all used to work fine two weeks ago); specifically, I have the English (US), the Spanish (Spain) layouts.EXAMPL
