Windows 11 Repeated accents when using portuguese keyboards

I use international keyboard layouts (Portuguese) on a daily basis. When using them, I should be able to press an accent key (eg [ ´ ] or [ ¨ ] or [ ` ] ), then press the letter (eg [a] or [e] or , and an accented character should appear on the screen (eg á or ù ).Please help!I am running Windows 11 Home (22h2).
