Windows 10 Right click any drives on the navigation pane crashed window explorer but right click any drives on the File/Folder listing pane works normally

This is a HP Z840 with a 3060ti and Tesla P40, running Windows 10. After recent update (haven't update the machine for a while), whenever I click on anything on the navigation pane, windows explorer will crash and left me with a blue blank screen and the mouse cursor. The screen doesn't response to mouse click. I can bring up Task Manager with CTRL-ALT-DEL. However, it works normally when I right-click on drives of the File/Folder listing pane. Left-click anything on the navigation pane works normally. Otherwise, I haven't noticed anything abnormal. I have performed the following:1.
