Windows 11 Running chkdsk via error checking in C: properties fills up storage space, how do I delete these files if I can?

Hello,I've recently installed windows 11 and decided to use the error checking tool (which as far as I know has similar function to the CHKDSK commands, correct me if I'm wrong) just to double check, no errors were found but I noticed after running it about 500mb of storage had been taken up. I restarted my laptop to see if the files would be deleted but the storage space was still the same. I ran it again to see if it was error checking causing this, and it happened again, this time only taking up about 100mb. Can anyone tell me if this is normal and if these files will be deleted/where they
