I recently installed an SSD in a PC and after a month or so the PC began slowing down significantly. Using the task manager to see what was happening, the answer was immediately obvious in that the SSD would hit 100% utilisation after performing even extremely simple tasks, such as starting an email application or opening a web browser installed on the drive. The read and write speeds are around 2000 times slower than they should be and the drive response time is around 600-1000ms, when this occurs.
