Windows 10 Screen Glitch after Sleep Mode

This thing recently started happening where when I wake my laptop up from sleep mode the screen has glitched and I can't click out of it or log in to my laptop because the mouse won't respond. I have to shut it down using the power button and restart it and each time I do, my laptop tells me I have 3 updates pending but when I check settings there are no available updates. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 7000, not even a year old yet.
