Server 2019 failed to reboot after installing the latest updates with 'ACPI.sys is corrupt or missing'

After trying a plethora of possible fixes that got nowhere, DISM RevertPendingAction got it back up and running.

I did notice that, apart from the update, it was also installing a new service stack and I seem to remember installing service stacks and updates at the same time could be problematic.

Here are the questions.

Back in the day it was easy enough to select items to be installed (e.g. install the service stack, then come back and install updates that require a reboot). Is there any way to accomplish this with Mein Fuhrer updates?

Has anyone else experienced problems with this update?

Thanks
