I have a folder on a network drive in which I download Excel files produced by other reports and "data dumps."
These Excel Files are used, in turn, by my own reports. sometimes connecting to them by MS-Query.
What I would like to do is set this directory up as an ODBC Data source, so I can navigate to it and then select the Excel file as I would a table from another database.
I know that it is possible to set up a directory as an ODBC source for text files and I've done that in the past.
I doubt that it is possible to set up a directory as an ODBC source for Excel Files, but I have to ask. It would be just too convenient to do this .
