I have a desktop, running Win7 Pro 64-bit and laptop running Win10 Pro 64-bit
I would like to create a network between the two so they see each other via File Explorer
Currently the desktop is connected to the Internet network via LAN while the laptop via WiFi
They both sit on the same network which is an office one. It is a network of a co-working office.
I have no idea about the office's router settings and configuration.
I do know the IPs of my devices.
My questions:
Thanks

My questions:
- Can I connect between the two computers despite the fact that they run two different versions of Windows?
- Do I have to use my own router for setting up this network. Is the router than be connected to the wall LAN and then the two computers to the router via CAT5 cables?
- Is there a way to network the two computers without a router and if so does it mean they will both be seen and accessible to all other computers sitting on the same network?
- If someone could send me link for further guidelines it would be very helpful
Thanks
