I have a Dell Inspiron 3521, and everything was working properly... when I first got it.
Some time after the purchase (I don't recall the exact point in time, so let's just say 6-12 months afterward), my speakers just... stopped (well, I wouldn't say "stopped," more like, "blew a fuse.") The left speaker only worked when the volume was set to a certain point, like 15%, if I increased the audio even by just 1%, the audio would cut out completely, and the right speaker didn't play any sound at all! When that happened, I began using the headphone jack so I could at least listen to music. But a little while after I started using the headphones, the jack stopped working, too! Everything else worked perfectly, such as the USB ports and the DC power jack, the only problems I am having is with the speakers and the headphone jack! I tried searching to see if anybody else had or is currently having the same issues as me, but it doesn't appear that way. I've tried uninstalling my audio driver, but that didn't work. I've tried installing other audio drivers, but that didn't work either. I've even disassembled my computer to replace my speakers, but to no avail. Please, if anyone knows what the problem is and/or can tell me how to fix it, I would HIGHLY appreciate your assistance. Thanks.
