Hello,
I have 2 computers, one running Ubuntu 18.04 (C1) and the other one has Windows 10 Home (C2).
There is a folder on C1 that I am sharing with C2 (C1 and C2 are connected via Ethernet cable Cat5e).
I am able to open the shared folder on C2 and also open files in the shared folder, but the issue is - when I have opened and closed a file in the shared folder (from C2) the location suddenly becomes unavailable. I have to logout and then log back in to gain access to the shared folder again. This happens only the first time I boot C2. After logging out and logging back in the issue seems to be gone.
I also tried to connect C1 and C2 via WiFi and I get the exact same issue as above.
I tried a few registry key updates based on recommendations on this forum and elsewhere but the issue persists.
I am wondering why this happens and if there is a fix to this issue or maybe I am missing something in my setup.
I would really appreciate your help! Thank you!
