Windows 11 Significant delays in Family Safety access approval process

The access approval process in Family Safety is unreliable and sometimes appears to be broken. With enabled Only use allowed websites, my son needs to request for access to any website that is not in the list of Allowed sites. I immediately get a notification, promptly approve, and the website shows up in Allowed sites. My son can navigate to the settings (Sign in to your Microsoft account<...>/web) and the website is there, indeed. Nevertheless he cannot actually access it sometimes for 10-20 minutes.
