Please read the whole of this question, to fully understand my situation. Thankyou.

I've had issues this last couple of weeks, with various software, which is up to date.

Paint shop pro would not start. Had to uninstall / reinstall which appears to have cured that issue in the main, but occasionally have to reboot the laptop, before the program will startup.

Exactly the same issues with AKAI Pro VIP, in either 32 or 64 bit.

Believed now cured after complete reinstallation.

The one that won't fix now, is Silhouette Studio Designer Edition version 4.3

As I need to use my Cameo Vinyl cutter, this has now become a real pain.

I have followed the silhouette team's advice to the latter, in both removing the com. aspexsoftware. Silhouette_Studio folder, and also by completely uninstalling and reinstalling.

The program will now start and run (albeit slowly and quite clunky) via the shortcut. So I can get by - just !

But - if I click on a file (even one created 10 minutes previously), to re-open it with studio, instead of opening the program and loading the file, it tries to run the setup routine. this happens now, with every created file, as if file association is screwed.(It does asssociate the files as Silhouette Studio files.

Incidentally, this is not the first time this has happened. Around 6 months back, I went down the same route, and had to re-install 3 times before it would work. It is not a compatibility issue with win 10. I'm assured it is suited to win 10 64bit. It is NOT a graphics issue. Running with either Geforce GT, or windows own graphics processor - makes no difference, and I do not have any issues with slow flaky running on other, far more memory/graphics intensive programs. There is obviously now some clash between the above mentioned programs, and with every recent fresh windows update.

Please advise.
