I have 2 computers on the internet. One computer is running ubuntu w/ samba. The other is my Windows client. Everytime I try and add a network location and type in "\\ipaddress\share", I just get an error saying Windows can't find that share.
This is the smb.conf on my linux computer:
[share]
comment = var/www
path = /var/www
read only = no
browsable = yes
I know the samba is configured correctly because I can run "smbclient -L \\\\127.0.0.1\\share" on the server computer, and I know firewall rules and port forwarding rules are set since I can nmap the server computer and see open "139 and 445" ports
Any help appreciated thanks
