I'm receiving the following error on my Storage Spaces pool when running the storage optimizer:
The storage optimizer couldn't complete slab consolidation on Storage Space Pool (E
because: The slab consolidation operation was aborted because an insufficient number of slabs could be reclaimed (based on the limits specified in the registry). (0x89000028)
The pool seems to be running correctly and I'm not seeing any issues from a user perspective. However, that error is generated every time an optimization is attempted.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro 20H2 (build 19042.685) on a server with 8 drives configured into a single large pool. The 8 drives are of varying sizes with the largest being a 14TB drive. The OS is on a separate SSD boot drive.
I'm looking for some assistance on how to correct this problem.
