Hi guys,
First of all the specifications of my laptop (Aspire A515-51G-510P) and the LatencyMon analysis can be found via the accompanied onedrive (LatencyMon CPUs.png).
To start, I'll describe the problem. The issue is most prevalent while gaming. I'm experiencing major fps drops. My fps suddenly drops to 1-3. My character will stutter. A couple of second later, I can continue like nothing ever happened. And repeat. While working the stuttering can for example sometimes (less often) be noticed while typing. Sometimes, the characters I type appear much later. In task manager I often see a process called system interrupts occupying as much as 100% of the CPU.
Here are all the fixes I've tried:
-Updated all drivers (via device manager and acer.com)
-Did a factory reset
-Changed the realtek audio driver to MSI controlled
-disabled CPU throttling (via 'change advanced power settings' in the control panel => set minimum
and maximum processor state at 100%) (also via regedit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power )
-ran windows memory diagnostic tool
-check disk for error (via cmd: chkdsk c: /f /r)
-disabled audio enhancements
-disabled wake on magic packet
-my bios is up to date ( did not touch it, but I have v.2.02. The acer website says this is the most recent
one for my model)
-disabled fast startup
-removed all external devices
I don't know what else to try. I've also ran LatencyMon. The results can be found in the aforementioned onedrive. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask. Please help me!
Kind regards
