Last week I did a system reset from Settings. The reset stopped at 88% but the sign-in page appeared, after waiting 30 minutes I signed in. Nothing seems to be working correctly and many apps and features(unwanted) were installed. Most important lost apps/services were Windows 10 Community Forums and Support.Microsoft.com. I am unable to open these and many other accounts and apps. These is an HP PC and I am even unable to contact HP online to get help. Prior to the Reset I had received "how to" instructions from Support.Microsoft.com to do a Clean Install with a Microsoft Tool but now I am unable to locate that source. It really seems that the Reset data/apps/features, etc. added to this Pc were very old. All Microsoft support answers I am able to find online are from years ago. Please advise any solutions possible for me to fix or how to get instructions to use the Media Create Tool in Microsoft. I am a senior citizen who cannot afford to to pay a technician.
This is: HP desktop - Windows 10-v. 2004 - os 19041.685 - Edge Chrome v. 88.O.705.56
(At least that's what it was before Reset...the Edge browser after Reset began with 44.......(?))
If I can get Windows up and running properly again I vow I'll never again touch anything on it unless I am absolutely certain I know I can do it.
(I'm sure previous agents who had patience enough to help are happy to read that!)
