Windows 11 Tamper protection randomly turning off and graying out and preventing me from running security scans

Hi, I noticed today that my windows 11 pc will randomly turn off Tamper protection and gray out with the message "This setting is managed by your administrator." When this happens, I can't turn it back on and I'm also unable to run scans with windows defender. What I've found is that when I sign out and sign back in it turns back on by itself and I regain full control, but sometimes when I restart or turn it on initially or run it for some time it sometimes turns off and grays out.- Windows Defender is the only anti virus on the pc, no 3rd party apps- I am the only user of this PC- Windows def
