An update installed on 2024-08-23 completely brutalized an entire Windows 11 installation, to the point that safe mode isn't bootable. The whole thing left me shocked. Resetting from an online image did nothing. Using the additional recovery option given by the bootable installer through USB just reboots into the installer. Nothing works, and the tcpip.sys error seems definitely misleading as all search results point towards a bootable OS, which this isn't.
