Windows 11 Teams incoming call ringtone is overridden - instead I hear "Ride of the Valkyries"

I have a bluetooth headset connected to my laptop and everything had been working as expected for years. Recently though, I started hearing a synthesized version of "Ride of the Valkyries" on top of the selected Teams ringtone for incoming calls. In addition, this synthesized ringtone plays an additional time after the call is answered (over anyone speaking at the time). I disabled all audible notifications in Teams but I still get this synthesized song for incoming calls (but no Teams ringtone since I disabled it).Needless to say, this behaviour is very unexpected and very much unwanted.I am
