Windows 11 The AC Adapter driver is missing

My Asus laptop was working perfectly until a few weeks ago. There was a Microsoft update and now my laptop will not power on unless it is plugged in even though the battery is at 67% (also, the battery isn't getting recharged while connected to power). I accessed the Device Manager and found that the AC Adapter Driver is completely missing. Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery is there. I'm not having any luck in finding how to find and install the AC Adapter Driver. Please help. Thanks!
