Windows 7 The file name is not valid

Here is what happened.

I decided to uninstall Avast because the licence had expired.

I always use Revo Uninstaller Pro, because it finds and removes entries, that are left behind.

I then usually run Glary Utilities to finish cleaning out the Reg.

Been doing this for years with no issues what so ever.

Did a system reboot, did some research and decided to try out the free version of BitDefender.

But first decided to use the trial to Hitman Pro to see if it would find anything that Avast allowed into my system, just because.

To my horror, I can not save anything now.

Not matter what it is.

Tried to save the .exe for hitman,

"The file name is not valid"

Tried to save the exe for Bitdefender...
"the file name is not valid"
Went to my imgur account, tried to save one of my pictures
"the file name is not valid"

Took a screenshot of me trying to save the simplest of files using the snipping tool, to show my issue here

cant even save a simple "capture.jpg"

"the file name is not valid"

Opened notepad, put in test, clicked save, named it test.txt

"the file name is not valid"

I can not save anything now and it has to do with me, either using Revo or Glary, to remove leftover files from the reg and it corrupted something.

BTW, all my system restore points are also gone, so I can't even attempt a restore.

Did the CMD Prompt SFC /Scannow

Results say

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but were unable to fix some of them.

As far as I can tell, this is my only problem, all my games work, I can use all my programs etc.

How can I fix this error with not being able to save files now?

I googled this issue, all all that I have found, is people with issues of file names being too long, having invalid characters in the filename etc.

That is not my problem, I can not even save a simple notepad named test.txt...".invalid filename"

Thank you so much in advanced if you can assist me, I really do not believe this can be such a huge problem that I have to do a complete system restore.

Michael
