I was using my Windows 10 PC and foolishly deleted a registry from regedit.
This caused my system to go awry and since then I am facing the BSOD.
I have tried resetting the system but the error 'There was a problem resetting your PC' came.
I then tried:
cd %windir%\system32\config
ren system system.001
ren software software.001
The 'ren software software.001' gave the error:
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process error
What should I do now?
I would like to keep my data that's stored in my system as I have no backup or system restore point. So repairing is what I would prefer over a fresh clean reinstall, if possible.
Note: I don't have a Windows 10 installation disc.
