Windows 11 touchpad gestures stop working after a while

When windows starts, touchpad gestures work. but after some time, they stop working. The touchpad itself and scrolling work but three or four finger gestures don't. I have to restart my laptop for them to work again. I have tried turning on and off gestures in settings. I have tried disabling and re-enabling the touch driver under human interface devices/hid-compliant touch pad.I have ruled out sleeping and hibernating as the culprits. touch-pad gestures work after putting my laptop to sleep and hibernate.I didn't notice this behavior before updating to KB5029351 (OS Build 22621.2215 preview).
