Windows 11 Unable to install update and potentially resulting in critical error

Windows 11 user here with a Surface Pro 8.I have been having issues with installing some updates on Windows 11; that has never led to any issues with using my device, just repeated restarting until the message that "something didn't go as planned" stops showing. Recently however, clicking on the windows start up leads to a critical error message, that does not resolve despite re-sign in.
