I have been trying to set up a hosted network on my Surface Pro 4, for a week now. The installed network adapter is a Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Adapter, version 15.68.9114.29. From the command prompt as administrator I type, netsh wlan show drivers, next to Hosted-network supported it says NO. I have searched the internet and found several people have had the same issue. I found several fixes that have worked for other people, but none of them will work with the network adapter installed on my Surface Pro 4. My guess is the driver for the Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Adapter, version 15.68.9114.29 doesn't support a Hosted Network. I also tried another driver from the list, version 15.68.9046.79, which also doesn't work. This morning, I logged on to another laptop I had available, the network adapter installed on it was a Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802.11b|g|n WiFi Adapter. After entering the command: netsh wlan show drivers, Hosted-network supported it says YES. Could you PLEASE HELP solve this problem. I really believe it is the driver for the Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Adapter, version 15.68.9114.29 and 15.68.9046.79. One of the fixes was to return to Windows 7 or Windows 8, 8.1 driver on a Surface Pro 3.
