Surface Book 2 16GB RAM 15.3" (Product ID 00330-62824-81075-AAOEM) bought on May 2018

Original Windows version Windows 10 Pro ver. 1803 build 17134-1345

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been trying to update it for quite awhile to no avail. I'm now stuck in an endless loop: every time the result is "Failed".

Anyone can help me to get out of this situation? Thanks in advance

I've never had issues updating before. less a couple of times where I solved the problem manually, from the Microsoft catalogue. Today, all other updates work fine.
The system was formerly giving me the option to update to 1903 version, but now does not give it anymore, but just informs me that my version (1803) is now obsolete and has to be updated.
This update is pending since a few months. Here a brief list of the sequence of actions taken in the last few days:
1.- Uninstalled most recent updates
2.- Verified SB2 correct operation
3.- Tried installation from USB media
4.- Uninstalled third party software
5.- Performed operations under the assistance of a Microsoft Advisor

Here the detailed description of each trial, and related results.
