Windows 11 USB b mp3 player vs. USB c

My computer automatically recognizes some mp3 players but not others. The older mp3 players (which connect via USB b) open automatically. When I plug in the newer mp3 players (USB c) I see the information flash on the screen and vanish. I tried "Unhide" and other troubleshooting, but even when I have the settings to show hidden devices, the newer mp3 player does not show up.How can I get those newer mp3 players to display on my computer when hooked up?
