Windows 11 Using "files on demand" with ONEDRIVE. Where do the files go?

If I discontinue “files on demand” with ONEDRIVE, and select “Download all files”, (I see there is no option to choose where they go?) where do the files go to on the computer’s hard drive?To continue using “Download all files” once this process has copied all ONEDRIVE files to the computer, does this mean that files will be kept in the ONEDRIVE cloud, as well as on the computer’s hard drive? ie whenever a new file is created, does it automatically sync (duplicate)?If so,whenever you create a new file, does it automatically sync/duplicate to the computer hard drive and OneDrive in the Cloud?Al
