Windows 11 Verification code via SMS not received, possible hijack

Up until recently, I've been able to get verification code via SMS whenever such is needed when I login to a particular Microsoft service. However, since the last two days, I haven't gotten such whenever I request it via my phone. I've been using e-mail verification instead.When I tried it today, I got a verification code -- but from a local number and not Microsoft, and it obviously looked like from a spammer (i.e., clear wrong spelling and tell-take signs of such).I tried to register another number, but I now got a message that my country, the Philippines, isn't supported.
