Windows 10 video slow to start after being away from keyboard for a while. also takes a while to open sound settings

when i have been away from the computer for a few hours, if i go to start a youtube video, it takes a while to load, like 1-2 minutes. if i go to open the sound settings, the window comes up, but nothing loads there either for 1-2 minutes as well. everything else works fine on the computer though. i can browse text no problem, but any video or sound takes a while to "warm up" after the 1-2 minutes it works as usual. this happens in edge, chrome, brave, or firefox. windows 10, nvda GTX 2080.all drivers and windows update are in place. is there a way to fix this? i have SSD as a hard
